International Institutions in China?s Foreign Policy: The Case of the Shanghai Cooperation Organizat. In 1991 China concluded that it could achieve its global rise by participating in and shaping international multilateral cooperation. In 2021, thirty years after this contention and twenty after China co-established its first international organisation - the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, this book offers a thorough insight into the role of multilateral institutions in China?s foreign policy.
